2. Processing and Use of Personal Data

Any processing or use of your personalized data will only be made within the legal framework in particular for the purposes disclosed in each case such as in connection with the processing of donations for projects and only to the extent required for such purpose. The transmission of personalized data to public institutions or agencies shall only be made to the extent required by mandatory national laws or if such transmission of information is required in the case of an attack on our network infrastructure in order to pursue legal rights or support criminal investigations. The right of betterplace to contract for the processing of data by third parties, in particular with the technical operator and provider of the platform, within the limits of the applicable legal provisions, remains unaffected.

3. Consent to Further Use

The use of certain offers on our website, such as the newsletter, requires a prior consent and further processing of personal data, such as the long-term storage of email address. Such data shall only be used, if you have transmitted it to us and consented to such use in advance.

By use of the betterplace Platform, such as the publication of content on your profile page or the participation in project or online discussions further personalized data is generated which will be stored and used for the purpose of making it accessible on the Platform.

Donations

If you make donations via the website betterplace.org, we will use the address data you used in the process only for processing of the donation and for generating a donation receipt in the form required by law. The information is only passed on to third parties to the extent that this is required for processing the donation.

4. Security

betterplace will implement technical and organizational security measures in order to protect the personal data administered by us against inadvertent or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction and against unauthorized access. Our safety measures will be improved continuously in accordance with technological progress.

On our website we will only use session-cookies which store data regarding the technical session administration on your computer. This data will be deleted at the latest when your browser is closed.
