How much of my donation ends up at the project?

2,5% of each donation remains with betterplace.org in order to cover the transaction costs charged by our payment providers. 97,5% of your donation is forwarded to the receiving organization. The receiver is obliged to use the donation according to the project description.

We encourage project managers to be as transparent about costs as possible. Therefore they shall include all costs for the projects, e.g. materials, personell and administration. The betterplace-team believes that good projects need good administration. And this of course also needs time and money.

When donating via one of our partner platforms the transaction costs are being paid by our company partners, so in these cases we can forward 100% of your donation to the receiving organisation.
