AFOCOD started as a community based organization based in Mukono district since 2006, regesitred under ministry of, Gender, Labour and Social Development as a CBO, with its Registration No MG/2010/04/1306.

Having worked in areas of counseling and guidance where voluntary counseling and testing is done, it came to our notice that most people with positive sero-status are needy and require help and support hence our theme (Care and protect the needy)

It started in 2003 affiliated to Mukono health center but later we contacted other service provider like Counselors, Doctors, medical, religious leaders and Government officials in Mukono district health centers and sub-district. The organization AFOCOD was Found. With its program focus in the area of Health, Advocacy, Social economics, Education and Spiritual program, its mission is to have good life status In all people affected and infected with HIV/AIDS in both rural and urban areas.
