Special Children – special People (SCSP) is a grass root non profit making Organisation that obtained manifest operations maturity in 2009 but its vision, work and track record go way back to 1993 with informal extension of assistance to special needs children and the PWDs in Ggaba a Kampala suburb. It advocates for the rights of disabled people, orphans and elderly in Uganda with activities like Access to Inclusive education, rehabilitation and therapy department, guidance and counseling, community educating in line with our theme “Realizing the potential of the neglected, Transforming Lives”.
SCSP is currently operating in Makindye Division a suburb within the capital city and rural areas of mpigi. We currently work with a number of projects including a School for special needs children, giving out skills of tailoring to parents of children with disabilities, making African crafts, sweater making and set up self sustenance projects like piggery, maize plantations etc. We also carry out awareness and sensitization programs about the rights and care for PWDS, Orphans, abandoned Children and elderly, supporting them with basic needs among others.
