Handi*Vangelism Ministries-Ghana (HVMI-Gh) operates two Children Residential Care Centres at Haatso and Boundary Road-Ogbojo, all in Accra. Established in 1996, HVMI-Gh seeks to help to reduce vulnerability among disadvantaged children with special needs through provision of shelter, care, protection and education.

HVMI-Gh is one of the few institutions dedicated to improve rehabilitation and relief services for vulnerable and orphaned children; through a multi-sectoral and disciplinary approach; aiming at empowering them to live in a manner that allows for their maximum independence for their total adjustment into mainstream society as productive and responsible adults.

The centres also serve as transitory shelter for cases of trafficked, abused, missing and abandoned children referred from the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service through the Department of Social Welfare.
