Habitat Healers and Denver University visited the Tortuguero National Rainforest, Costa Rica in November 2009 to clean up over 3 miles of beach with over 100 local kids to sort and recycle all trash. The Tortuguero National Rainforest is the 2nd most populated turtle nesting and hatching habitat in the world. We implemented the very first beach clean up and started a recycling program for the village and community.
