Building a Guesthouse for Rural Development in Cam

We want to build a new house to host guests and volunteers Belo, North West Region of Cameroon! With this house we will be able to generate a regular income for RUDEC, and make our work more efficient and regular in the future

We from RUDEC – Rural Developement Center Cameroon – wish to fund our new project, a Guesthouse in the village of Belo. As RUDEC’s main goal is to support orphans of the region we need both a regular source of income and volunteers to help us. This Guesthouse would now permit us to include both: On the one hand, guests who come for ecotourism (also promoted by RUDEC) and exploring the beautiful region around Belo in the Northwest Region of Cameroon would deliver us a regular income for our work and at the same time, the other part of the building would be hosting our volunteers who come to work on projects such as Orphan Support, School Teaching, Women Empowerment and much more.
This guesthouse would permit both guests and volunteers to live in a safe and clean house with both tap water and electricity – even a back-up powered by solar panels is thought of for the house. As volunteer work also depends on computers and thus electricity, this is necessary to keep on working during power cuts (and they are happening quite often).
We already have the land to build the house on and the first sand has been delivered. The next step is to get the site cleared and levelled, excavating trenches, get water for the works and the scaffolding.
This is what we need your funding for, and would be very grateful to raise the necessary funds in order to get the first steps done soon. Please help us!
Explanation of the costs for Site clearance and Earthworks
General clauses - 15000 CFA = $ 30.08
Clearing site - 20000 CFA =$ 40.10
Hoarding around the site – 12000 CFA = $ 24.06
Setting out and excavating
Trenches for foundation – 60000 CFA = $ 120.31
Levelling of site, backfitting and sisposal of soil – 55000 CFA = $ 110.29
Water necessary for the execution of works – 125000 CFA = $ 250.65
caffolding – 150000 CFA = $ 300,78
TOTAL – 437000 CFA = 670 Euro = $ 876.28
