Destiny Community school provides education to the orphaned & vulnerable children in poor communities. We currently have about 400 children in our school from earth child education to the ninth grade. The total member of staff is 25. Destiny is non government, non partisan and non profit making. We provide education through generous donations of the people. We would like to open our school for short term, medium term & long term sponsors. Most of the children coming to our school have lost one of their parents or both &!also come from low income families. They are unable to provide school requirements. Destiny fills up this gap by giving the undeserving & most excluded an education to honor their dignity. Children who experienced trauma & abuse find Destiny a safe place to build their futures. We are always faced with financial challenges but we still persist until all the vulnerable children are given access to free & fair education. At Destiny, joy is restored to our children. We see children laughing again.
We are looking for sponsors who will provide education sponsorship per month per child. The monthly donation per sponsorship is $17 per child per month. This will cover tuition, meals and other educational needs. Destiny Community School is a community based school legally registered with registrar of societies & ministry of education in Zambia. We have been in existence since 2003. Our pupils performs very well in national examination. By sponsoring a child, you are building a blight future of children & also break the cycle perpetual poverty.
The beneficiaries of the education sponsorship will be the orphaned and vulnerable children. Destiny school will receive these donations for the purchase of school materials, equipments & teachers salaries. This sponsorship should run for a period of time & our target is start with 60 sponsors to sponsor 60 children. These beneficiaries are school children in our school ranging from babies to grade nine.
The donations will be received into the Destiny Community School account where the board member will be responsible to use it for the purchase of school books & also pay for the teachers salaries. Our teachers gets low salaries depending on donation. However, we would like to improve the teachers working conditions by improving their income. With the increase in income, teachers will be able to provide quality education to the children. Destiny has a truck record of honest & integrity in all our dealings.
