Last week we distributed 1,000 kits to children and families in central Gaza who have been displaced from their homes and are sheltering in a school. The kits include much-needed hygiene materials as well as play items like colouring books, crayons, and games. In these extremely challenging and dangerous times, play is one way that children can cope with trauma and process emotions. The kits were distributed in collaboration with UNRWA. 

More than 1.7 million Gazans have been internally displaced by the war – 74% of the population – and half of them are children. Many are sheltering in protective spaces like schools and hospitals.
