About us
The Kriegskinderstiftung (KKS, "War Children Foundation") started its work in 2010 by supporting a local Northern Ugandan NGO called Peace and Development Foundation Africa (PDF-A), which is concerned with the reintegration of former child soldiers in Northern Uganda. As it became clear that the damages done by war and violence cannot be healed fully or even sufficiently, the foundation lately added a second field of work which is war prevention. In this latter field the foundation launches and organizes peace education projects and supports peace activism.
