About us
Villa Romana is a place of contemporary artistic production and of international exchange. The core function of the Villa Romana since 1905 has been the Villa Romana Prize. The Villa Romana in Florence hosts every year four talented artists resident in Germany for a ten months stay that consists of free use of a studio and a fully equipped apartment as well as a monthly stipend.
The patron of the Villa Romana and founder of the Villa Romana Prize is the registered association Villa Romana e.V. The association is financed primarily with funds from private sponsors, corporations, foundations and individuals. Biggest supporter is the Deutsche Bank Stiftung. Another key supporter is the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media.

Liebe Spender,
bei Projekten, bei denen Spendengelder über einen langen Zeitraum hinweg nicht angefordert wurden, sehen das Gesetz und unsere Nutzungsbedingungen vor, dass die Spenden von der gut.org gemeinnützigen AG (Betreiberin von betterplace.org) zeitnah für deren satzungsmäßige Zwecke verwendet werden müssen.
Deshalb setzen wir die noch nicht verwendeten Spendengelder für diese Zwecke ein
