About us
The fka - Friends of Asylum Karlsruhe e. V. (fka) was founded in 1987 - with the aim of giving people with a refugee and migration history the starting aid for a life in Germany and accompanying them on their journey.
The cornerstones of our work are the areas of counseling, education and trauma work. Our portfolio includes free legal advice, first language advice, transcultural trauma work and language teaching services as well as intercultural training.
Our team is made up of experts with and without migration experience. The consultations follow the “help for self-help” approach. We advise at eye level, appreciatively and with knowledge of cultural peculiarities. We support people who find themselves in an emergency situation quickly and unbureaucratically.
