About us
TCO is based in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia and is registered as an official nonprofit organization with the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior. This organization is secular, not-for-profit, and does not discriminate based on religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic class, or political views. TCO strives to maintain the highest level of transparency and integrity in all of its actions in order to ensure donors know exactly where their funds are going. We are in accordance with all requirements set forth to be a partner organization with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). TCO has a proven history of aiding rural communities, with end-of-project evaluations providing significant improvements in quality of life for targeted areas. Additionally, we engage in regular staff capacity building and training in order to stay up-to-date on development methods. TCO is a member of multiple local nonprofit networks, which it coordinates with to extend its impact across many communities. These translate into competent aid programs delivering real world help to families which might otherwise be deprived of life through extreme poverty.

Donations that cannot be used for the project
Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.
Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes
Thanks for your support,
the betterplace.org-team
