About us
The "Aktion Zivilcourage e.V." is a non-partisan association that offers societal and political educational work for all age groups and supports both governmental and non-governmental organizations. Through our work, we strengthen democratic processes and promote engagement. The "Aktion Zivilcourage e.V." primarily advocates for people in rural areas of East Germany.
Background:
The "Aktion Zivilcourage" was founded in 1998 as an initiative by young people. The background was the high municipal election results of right-wing extremist parties in the then district of Sächsische Schweiz and an increasing readiness for violence among young people. The founders brought together everyone who wanted to advocate for a more open, friendly, and respectful society. This resulted in a strong alliance that works long-term and sustainably for our democracy and exemplifies democratic values such as engagement, human dignity, and contentious exchange of opinions.

Die Spenden werden für die Umsetzung von Couragierte Kinder in den Partnereinrichtungen eingesetzt. Damit werden die Bildungsreferent:innen finanziert, die die Kindertrainings und Weiterbildungen für die pädagogischen Fachkräfte durchführen sowie das Trainingsmaterial.
