Cameroon Catalyst

About us
Cameroon Catalyst is a student-led project whose aim it is to fund, design and construct a community centre in the severely underdeveloped village of Bambouti, Cameroon. The team, working closely with Mosame Trust (registered charity number 1132546), is comprised of 19 engineering students at the University of Southampton who have been fundraising for the project since October 2009. The community centre will include medical facilities, classrooms, communal kitchen area and sanitary toilets and showers, in an area that has no previous running water. The project is entirely self-funded through fundraising and sponsorship, with all money raised being used to pay for the materials and labour used in the construction of the centre; the team will be paying for all of their own individual costs.
