Lux Bethlehem e.V.
managed by Richard-B. von Busse
About us
As part of his Memorias Urbanas project, Spanish artist Juan Garaizabal created a replica of the Bethlehem Church in scale-true outline as a light installation on Berlin's Bethlehemskirchplatz in 2012.
In order to acquire this work as a symbol of tolerance and reconciliation for permanent residence in Berlin, the Lux Bethlehem Association was founded. Within the framework of the acquisition, the association assumes the obligations of the owner, the safety of the object, maintenance measures and the lighting technology operation.
The association Lux Bethlehem e.V. pursues charitable purposes by promoting cultural history and religion, in particular by bringing together people who want to enter under the "light roof" of the Bethlehem Church for peace, religious and international understanding, and by the permanent acquisition of the "Wandering Church" on the Bethlehem Kirchplatz in Berlin-Mitte.
