About us

We, the local group Betzdorf/Kirchen of the German Life Saving Society are engaged since 1963 tirelessly in the field of swimming education and water rescue.

We offer weekly in our local swimming pool on the Molzberg the opportunity for everyone, from young to old, to learn how to swim safely and we also train capable lifeguards!

In our region, we are involved in disaster control and general assistance and provide well-trained emergency personnel, especially in the area of current rescue and operational diving. Our lifeguards also ensure safety in local swimming pools and open-air pools and support the central water rescue service at the coast. In order to be well positioned in the future, we have created a youth response team to inspire young people for water rescue!

We are mainly financed by membership fees and donations and therefore appreciate any support!
