About us
The association supports the therapy work of the small, committed organization Svijet u Slikama (SUS) in Zenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The eight founding members all come from eco COMPLIANCE GmbH. They are in close contact with the SUS team, are regularly on site and experience developments in Zenica up close.
During the first Corona wave in 2020, we as a sponsor provided the impetus and provided funds for a move to a more child-friendly premises in a school. This move not only gave SUS a "motivational boost" but also created more positive perceptions and willingness among parents to consider their children's treatment at SUS.
In early 2022, we forwarded funds for a first full-time therapist. It makes it possible to look after the first children during the day and not just between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Ein neuer Anfang für SuS
Von der ersten Idee bis zum tatsächlichen Einzug hat es über zwei Jahre gedauert – aber nun ist es so weit: SuS ist umgezogen! Seit Anfang 2025 dürfen wir die oberen Räume im neuen Gebäude der eco COMPLIANCE d.o.o. nutzen – hell, freundlich und endlich mit ausreichend Platz für unsere Arbeit mit den Kindern.
Der Umzug war für unser gesamtes Team ein großer Schritt – nicht nur organisatorisch, sondern auch emotional. Neue Umgebung, neue Abläufe, neue Energie. Natürlich war die Veränderung auch für die Kinder spürbar. Anfangs noch ungewohnt, aber mit dem neuen Spielplatz für die Pausen kehrt nach und nach ein Gefühl der Vertrautheit ein.
Dank der großzügigen Unterstützung durch Spenderinnen konnten wir zu Beginn des Jahres auch eine zweite Vollzeit-Therapeutinnenstelle schaffen. Merima unterstützt nun Almedina – und so können noch mehr Kinder betreut und individuell gefördert werden.
Wir sind zutiefst dankbar für jede helfende Hand, jede Spende und all die Unterstützung, die diesen Schritt möglich gemacht haben. Ein besonderer Dank gilt eco COMPLIANCE – für das Vertrauen, die offenen Herzen und die wunderbare Zusammenarbeit.
Jetzt heißt es für uns: neu anfangen, weiter wachsen – und Tag für Tag ein Stück mehr Zuhause schaffen.
From the very first idea to finally moving in, it took over two years – but now the time has come: SuS has moved! Since early 2025, we’ve been able to use the upper floor of the new eco COMPLIANCE d.o.o. building – bright, welcoming, and finally with enough space for our work with the children.
The move was a big step for our entire team – not just logistically, but emotionally as well. A new environment, new routines, new energy. Of course, the change was also noticeable for the children. It felt unfamiliar at first, but with the new playground for breaks, a sense of comfort is gradually returning.
Thanks to the generous support of donors, we were also able to create a second full-time therapist position at the beginning of the year. Merima has joined our team alongside Almedina, allowing us to care for even more children with the attention and dedication they deserve.
We’re deeply grateful for every helping hand, every donation, and all the support that made this step possible. A special thanks goes to eco COMPLIANCE – for the trust, the open hearts, and the wonderful collaboration.
