About us
aMStart - support for young adults with multiple sclerosis 🌱💬
In Germany, 17,000 people are diagnosed with MS every year, 66% of whom are between the ages of 20 and 40. The time of diagnosis is particularly stressful and increases the risk of depression by 70%. Despite this, young people rarely seek help in conventional self-help groups.
aMStart is a low-threshold, free and independent counseling service for young adults living with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). We offer 1:1 conversations between patients: anonymously, digitally and at eye level 🤝✨
We have already connected over 950 people and provide valuable help for those affected throughout Germany. aMStart is a non-profit organization and relies on your support. 💚
Our team consists of dedicated volunteers who have experience of MS themselves. They are trained to provide the best possible support for those affected. 💗👂
Together we create strength in crises and set an example for solidarity & mental health!
