About us
Students Against EACOP Uganda is a youth-led climate activist movement opposing the EACOP cross-border pipeline. The pipeline, funded by Total Energies and CNOOC, poses significant threats to local communities, wildlife, and the environment. Through civil disobedience protests, court sessions, and partnerships, our main goal is to contest the project's harmful effects. To achieve this, we plan to conduct offline disruptive campaigns, engage in online awareness efforts, and provide training to activists and affected communities. With a budget of €8550, we aim to implement this project for one year, reaching over 3000 people and establishing partnerships with media houses, community leaders, and climate organizations to make a lasting impact.
