About us
The Bund für Geistesfreiheit (bfg) Munich (founded in 1870) is an ideological organisation based on the principles of the Enlightenment and humanism. Our work focuses on the separation of church and state and the defence of civil and human rights.
The bfg stands for a world view without the concept of God and without dogmatic doctrines. The findings of science and research characterise our view of the world. This view of life combines a free attitude of mind with a conviction that has its origins in the humanist movements of the past and unites us in the pursuit of peace, freedom, equality and humanity.
