The adoption of Machine Intelligence (MI) technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in the commercial sector is booming. These technologies are already accompanying us everywhere and help many companies to grow.
At MI4People, however, we are convinced that this digital revolution can induce larger impact than just more consumption, comfort, and corporate profit. In fact, we believe that Machine Intelligence has the potential to become a key technology for solving a large number of humanitarian and environmental problems and can enormously strengthen the delivery of Public Good all over the world.
That's why we collaborate with experts, researchers, and other non-profit organizations (NPOs) and conduct applied research on how MI-technologies such as data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, robotic process automation, and process mining can serve the Public Good. We build specific applications that are freely accessible for other NPOs and are used by them to combat suffering, hunger, poverty, and many other humanitarian problems. We collaborate with NPOs during the application of our MI-solutions in practice, explore effectiveness of our solutions and improve them if necessary. As soon as a project is completed, all relevant data and source codes are shared broadly in the public domain.
Our running and planned projects aim to fight hunger, improve healthcare in developing countries, foster inclusion of blind and visually impaired and make wildlife conservation efforts more effective. You can find more detailed information about the projects
here.
After a lot of preparation and planning, MI4People was founded as a non-profit research institution ca. one year ago and our first set of projects is currently running and some of them are even close to be finished. We work with many volunteers who, in addition to their regular activities, help us with their MI-expertise and a lot of commitment. However, since our projects are very complex and can take several years, we must ensure that the management and organization of the individual projects are in control of permanently employed MI-experts. Your donation ensures the financing of their salaries and the coverage of the running costs of MI4People. We ask you to support us in making this world a better place for all of us with the help of Machine Intelligence!
