    About this project

Kateryna Kovalenko from n-ost – border crossing journalism is responsible for this project
We are a European network of journalists and in close contact with our colleagues on the ground in Ukraine. This fundraiser is also supported by our partners Croatian Journalists' Association, FragDenStaat, Netzwerk Recherche, Reporters without Borders and taz Panter Stiftung.

Journalists in Ukraine defy extremely difficult conditions to tell the world about the brutality of Russia's war of aggression.

In the first months of the full-scale war, our Ukrainian colleagues were in urgent need of protective and emergency equipment. As the war continues, they face new – very different – challenges.

    Together we can help provide:

Generators and power stations for newsrooms
Psychological counseling (group and individual sessions)
Maintaining reporting and research, traveling across the country
Supporting local journalism, with a special focus on the de-occupied territories

With your donations, we primarily support independent Ukrainian journalists, on the ground and in exile. We also help foreign journalists living and working in Ukraine in the long term.

    Thank you for your support!
