About this project

Help us, the Beethovenfest Bonn, to realize a solidarity concert with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (YsOU) and its founder, conductor Oksana Lyniv at Beethovenfest 2022. Together with the young Ukrainian musicians and us, set a sign against Putin's war and for a free and peaceful country for all people in Ukraine!
The Beethovenfest Bonn would like to give the YsOU the important opportunity to act as a public voice for an entire cultural nation and to secure its own existence by giving the orchestra the chance to perform on August 29, 2022 at the Bonn Opera House as part of the opening weekend of the Beethovenfest 2022 under the direction of Oksana Lyniv. The concert is to be broadcast internationally by Deutsche Welle.
Please support the realization of this concert with your contribution: Any donations above the target amount as well as all proceeds of the concert will go directly and without deduction to the YsOU. The Beethovenfest Bonn organizes this concert pro bono, of course.
The YsOU was founded in 2017 as part of the Campus-Project of Beethovenfest and Deutsche Welle. Since then, it has become a training platform and musical home for 12 to 22-year-old musicians from all over Ukraine. As an orchestra, it travels internationally and performs with renowned conductors and soloists.
Please support us in creating a perspective for the young musicians of the YsOU and let us together give the orchestra the opportunity to perform as ambassadors for peace and Ukrainian culture in the UN city of Bonn.
