At the beginning of March, we met a Ukrainian doctor on her way to Hanover and she put us in touch with doctors in Poltava, suburbs of Kiev and other places. They immediately sent us lists of their specific medical needs, especially medicines and wound care. Especially in remote crisis areas, medical care is very strained.
And now, of course, we want to help them directly, and that's where you come in!
We are Marie Plettenberg and Wolf Thyssen, we have known each other for a very long time since our studies in Berlin, and at that time we were involved in an aid project for undersupplied hospitals. Now we have started the initiative "For Doctors in Ukraine".
With your donations we buy directly from manufacturers and wholesalers and take care of the transport to Lviv, where we have a personal contact with a Rotarian. He has set up a temporary storage facility there and helps us to forward the donations to "our doctors".
In Berlin, we work closely with the association Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V., who help us a lot with their infrastructure, contacts and advice, including, of course, donation receipts.
Our project "For Doctors in Ukraine" is also supported by the Hasso Plattner Foundation.
In a very short time we have been able to build up a functioning network, and with your help we can fill it with a lot of life. We are all working pro bono, so that 100% of every donation will reach Ukraine
