The "Offener Treff"

The non-profit "Offener Treff" at "Mütterzentrum Dortmund e.V." is an important contact- and networking point for parents, grandparents and their children as well as for people without children. Due to the broad target group, however, there is hardly any public funding. The work done here with the people is therefore dependent on donations.
 
Visitors can visit the "Offener Treff" spontaneously and without an appointment. Here you will find a place where you can exchange ideas and network, talk about worries or simply have a coffee in peace. At the same time, there is information on low-threshold counseling and support services in Dortmund.
 
The concept of the "Offener Treff" has proven itself for over 35 years, with up to 100 people visiting it every day. For them, the experience of community and togetherness is central, for example at lunch together, when networking through regulars' tables on many topics or celebrating seasonal festivals. The open meeting thus makes an important contribution to the cohesion of our society and sets an example against loneliness.
 
The donations get people with their offers that make the "Offener Treff" come alive. Because it lives from the voluntary commitment of the local people who implement their ideas.
