As Global Innovation Gathering, we are a community of grassroots innovators from all around the globe. For the past 10 years, we hosted events and built a community of like-minded advocates for Openness, Sharing and Global Connection.
Today, GIG supports the work of its 155 members in 47 countries – most of them in the “Global South”. GIG facilitates global exchange between innovators and innovation spaces, and implements various projects. As the world becomes more complex and fast-paced, so do the challenges, threatening the most vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Meeting each other in person is invaluable for trust & connection, recognition & visibility, peer-exchange & support – all of which often translates into better ability to raise new funds for the local community the innovation space serves.
As GIG members we travel to venues and events around the globe – often by air. Many of our members have limited to no resources to pay for flight tickets and reach to far-away destinations to present their work to international audiences.
Here we want to support their airfare. As air travellers we contribute to carbon emission and would like to be able to compensate our carbon footprints by supporting atmosfair.de.
