Each of our children of mentally ill parents shall get their very own perpetual 365 day calendar for recording happy and joyful moments in their lives.
The calendar comes in a small box filled with 366 cards - one for each day of each month. It is a perpetual calendar combined with a personal journal for recording and retracing moments of your life.
Each of these cards list an important event of the past as well as some current holidays. There is room for personal notes on the back.
When you take the current index card out of the box you will discover a (nice) event which has happened on that day in the past or you are reminded of an important person's birthday. You can then note your own happy event of the current day on the back of the card. By using this calendar over a long period of time you are (automatically) reminded of joyful events of your own life while you establish a chronicle of your treasured moments.
By giving each of the children their own box we want to encourage them to realize that even during hard times there are always happy (if small) moments which help us to keep going and not to lose hope!
As usual, every donation is very helpful, no matter how small!
