Music for all - children's instruments for our brass class

Learning. Joining. Participating. To keep our vision alive, we want to continue investing in our youth work. Specifically, we would like to invest in new musical instruments especially for children, because what is a musician without his or her instrument? For the sense of achievement when learning a musical instrument, the appropriate instrument size to the body size is essential. Only in this way can the musical but also social interaction and thus the motivation to make music be guaranteed in the best possible way.

Our request: Support the brass classes of the Musikverein Stadtkapelle Sachsenheim e.V. in cooperation with the Community School Sachsenheim and the Music School Bietigheim-Bissingen. Help us to purchase 2 children's tubas (approx. 1,500 € each), 3 children's clarinets (approx. 600 € each) and 1 children's alto saxophone (approx. 600 €).

Our brass classes: 
Our brass class started in school year 2013/14. Every school year up to 35 children join this great program. The third graders choose a wind instrument during an instrument demo. Thanks to qualified instrumental teachers from the Bietigheim-Bissingen Music School, the children gain their first musical experience learning their instrument in group lessons. On this basis, a band is formed with the children in our music association to gain their first band experience.

Our music association: Established in 1923, the Musikverein Stadtkapelle Sachsenheim e.V. (MVS) is one of the oldest and largest culturally active associations in the city. With our slogan "Learning. Joining. Participating." we express that from learning to playing musician, from young to experienced and from association member to casual wind band listener, everyone is welcome here.
