The Casa del Niño P. J. Kentenich in Florencio Varela is a day home for children from 4 to 13 years old located in the vulnerable San Nicolás neighborhood of Florencio Varela. In this home we seek that the children can grow up in a healthy environment, full of love, trust and, above all, hope. The nearly 300 children that the home houses learn noble values so that they can find their way in life in a healthy way, away from the dangers of the street. May the house be a home with open doors that welcomes everyone, especially the needy and deprived children.

Tutoring
We aim for children to stregthen their skills through reading and writing workshops. The learning process is reinforced through different activities.
- Playful and didactic
- Reading corners
- Tales plays and performances
- Word games
- Situation-related games
- Board games
Gardening
Along with their counselors, children participate in and learn from the daily care of the vegetable garden.
Handcraft
These workshops are developed by each counselor with their group. The activities include:
- Artistic activities
- Building games
- Building musical instruments
- Creating decoration for national holidays
- Exhibition at fairs and community meetings
Music and Dancing
Through music and dancing, we complement their education, and we encourage them to discover and enhance their own talents.
Pastoral
This includes the following:
- Catechesis for all groups of children by professional volunteers.
- Catechesis for First Communion.
- Catechesis for families.
- Catholic missions in the neighbourhood of Casa del Niño by young people from Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement.
