Warming donations for Ukraine

 

We are organizing a solidarity transport from Bonn to Lviv, Ukraine in January. Winter is here and big parts of the energy infrastructure have been targeted and destroyed by the Russian army. The people in Ukraine are enduring a cold winter and warming equipment cannot be bought there anymore. Our friends in Ukraine have communicated with us that important necessities which protect against the cold are needed now. With this transport we want to support them in their resistance.

The moving company Zack is providing an 18-tonne moving truck and drivers who will deliver the donations, thank you! 

This means that we only have to take care of collecting the money and items we want to transport. The money we are raising will go toward gas and toll fees. Everything beyond that will be used by us to purchase additional equipment, especially generators and power stations. This truck is an amazing chance to deliver a lot of equipment, that is not available in Ukraine anymore, directly to the people there. 

 

The following things are needed: 

 

- Generators 

- Power Stations 

- Well insulated/ very warm sleeping bags 

- Well insulated sleeping mats 

- Blankets 

- Thermal underwear 

- Thermal socks 

- Thermal gloves/tourist gloves 

- Hot water bottles 

- Camping stoves 

- Thermoses (both for individuals and larger groups) 

- Insulated cups/bottles 

- Powerbanks with a large capacity 

- Flashlights 

- Candles (new) 

- Shopping trolleys 

- Chemical warming pads (new) 

 

We are collecting these through donations in Bonn and also the money raised here. The donations will be driven to Lviv where they will be distributed in Ukraine by the Solidarity Collectives and Hospitallers.
