About this project

Paul Sochacki from Arts of the Working Class (Reflektor Monde gUG) is responsible for this project
Dear reader,
Art practices are transformative only when they reach everyone – when the excluded get to see themselves represented in languages that do not replicate oppression, but are, instead, a bridge of their experiences and imagination. For almost five years, Arts of the Working Class empowers marginalized people beyond the idealism of the so-called art system by redistributing wealth and dignity on a material level. Circulating on the streets of Europe, AWC brings messages of social, aesthetic, and political change.

Due to the doubling costs for printing and growing demand from vendors, the circumstances of our production are changing into an uncertain future. With around 73,000 copies now passing from hand to hand on the streets (an increase from 55,000 at the beginning of the year), Arts of the Working Class is not spared from inflation.
That’s why we’re appealing to our community in order to continue our not-for-profit ambitions and fundraise the sum of €14,500. This will help us to cover the printing costs of our latest issues. Every donation that a reader like you makes will keep our newspaper on the street.
Thank you!
