The refugees on Lesvos constantly suffer from the fact that they receive far too little food, which is often already spoiled. Mold, maggots, inedible.
In addition, most of them do not have the financial means to compensate for these deficiencies with their own purchases.
Many suffer from malnutrition. Children show clear signs of deficiency due to a lack of vitamins, minerals and protein.
We want to help them with fruit, vegetables, rice, nuts and dried fruit.
Our partner Ariadni Lesvos in Greece (on Lesbos) supports refugees on the island.
A daily breakfast is served to visitors to the Ariadni House.
If there are enough funds, food will be distributed to as many as possible in the camp.
The number of family members, the name of the picker and the number of the tent or container are listed in order to guarantee fair distribution.
Ariadni cooperates with a self-organized women's group in the camp. A local grocery store prepares the food packages at reasonable prices.
They can then be picked up from there.We would be very happy to support people with 10 euros per person per week.
The possible total number depends on the incoming donations.
