Support the volunteers of Give Something Back to Berlin e.V.

Give Something Back To Berlin (GSBTB) is an award-winning engagement platform that promotes civic engagement, access to creative self-realization, and social and cultural participation among New Berliners, migrants, and refugees from around the world. The goal of our work is to promote intercultural dialogue, participation among migrants and strengthening of social and neighborhood cohesion. We reduce fear of contact and tensions between different groups and social classes through joint activities. 

With our more than twenty weekly GSBTB projects in the areas of art, cooking and language acquisition, we reach more than 25,664 people annually, for whom 19,151 volunteer hours are spent. Through these projects, volunteers and participants become part of a diverse and colorful network that leads to a faster sense of home. In the last ten years, we have placed thousands of volunteers from 60 countries in various local, creative and social projects throughout Berlin and also set up many projects of our own. 

Since the beginning of 2013, we have been working very strongly in the refugee field and since the "refugee crisis" in 2015, we have quickly become a main point of contact; both for people who want to get involved and for people who benefit from the projects. Our projects and platform have been experiencing very rapid growth since then, validating our methods and approaches - and now we need your support:
