As Global Innovation Gathering, we are a community of grassroots innovators from all around the globe. For the past 10 years, we hosted events and built a community of like-minded advocates for Openness, Sharing and Global Connection.
Today, GIG supports the work of its 155 members in 47 countries – most of them in the “Global South”. GIG facilitates global exchange between innovators and innovation spaces, and implements various projects. As the world becomes more complex and fast-paced, so do the challenges, threatening the most vulnerable and marginalized communities.
We’re purely project funded and have very low admin cost, but we would like to find a more sustainable model to fund our community management activities – regular and reliable online events and meaningful peer-exchange take a lot of time to organize.
