About this project

Vadzim Subach from Mara e.V. is responsible for this project
Belarusian-German youth exchange with art workshops.
Neutrebbin in Brandenburg, Germany. Two dates: 2.-9. July (already done, but there is a need to pay the bills) and 16-23 July 2023.
For young men and women from the families of oppressed Belarusians currently living in Poland.

We are also already planning winter holidays for Belarusian children in Saxon Switzerland (Rosenthal). January-February 2024.

With the meeting we would like to give young people the opportunity to spend an exciting holiday with intercultural exchange and informal education. Young people can feel their self-efficacy and make a practical impact on the events they attend. Participants have the opportunity to expand their interests and talents. Getting to know people from other countries helps develop openness. In binational groups, the participants can explore how they are similar, how they differ and what is interesting about this difference. Young people will create a real rock band, put on a performance, and some will discover an artist's talent.

The project uses extracurricular educational methods. The participants are divided into binational groups and work daily in the selected areas - music, theater, painting. At the end, the participants present the results of their work. Young people are motivated by professional mentors in daily seminars. Every day there are different games to get to know each other better and language animations that lead to deepening knowledge and finding common ground. In addition to the workshops, the children visit Berlin and travel the region. Interpreters support the participants in communication. Also, a teacher-psychologist will be present all the time.
