sponsor an apprenticeship in Tanzania

The United Republic of Tanzania is one of the poorest countries on our planet. The average income in Tanzania is 45 US dollars per month (Gross National Income 2011 per inhabitant, source: World Bank) – the rural population often has to make do with much less.
Most young people have no prospect. The families lack the financial means to finance vocational training. For girls in particular, a free choice of career usually remains a distant dream.
We would like to enable children from particularly poor families to receive vocational training. For only 35 euros a month, a teenager in Dareda can be financed with school education with board and lodging.
At the vocational training center in Dareda, training courses are offered in metal construction, mechanics, carpentry, tailoring, gastronomy, administration and bricklaying. Schoolsubjects are environmental protection and regenerative energies. Most training courses run for three years, but shorter sponsorships or half a training grant can also help.
The donations from our projects arrive directly. Personal contact with the sponsored young person is possible via the project manager and the young people are happy to maintain it.
