With our project we want to finance the dubbing of 3 films, the heart of THE WEEK, and thus make them accessible to a wider German-speaking audience.
THE WEEK is a group journey. On 3 days within a week, people meet (also online), watch an hour-long movie and exchange ideas afterwards. This is the heart of the experience: a guided conversation of 30 minutes (or more if you want) to process what you've seen together, make sense of it all and develop individual and collective solutions.
The website https://www.theweek.ooo/ is now translated into German and online and there are German subtitles for the 3 films, but in order to really reach a lot of people, it would need a German dubbing and there is still a lack of money for this.
The preparatory work for this has all been done and the studio is ready and as soon as the first pot of donations is filled, we can get started. In the best case scenario, the films should be completed by the end of January next year.
We would like to honor the donations we have already received as well as future donations and will mention everyone by name in the credits of the films, provided they wish to do so. So please donate with your full name and a note that you are happy to be mentioned. (Example see photo gallery)
Why do we want to take care of it? We've been through the journey with The Week ourselves, of course. Each of us had a different knowledge base on the subject, each of us had a different story, and we hardly knew each other at all. In the end, however, something happened that almost everyone could feel. The desire to do something NOW. And in the best case, TOGETHER.
So the idea was born to raise money to give even more people access to this journey.
