5 years of Enidaso - 5000€ for the schools in Benim

We are celebrating our anniversary: our non-profit organization will be five years old in December! Since 2018, we have been supporting pupils in Ghana on their educational path through sponsorships, and since 2020 we have been helping to improve the infrastructure of Ghanaian schools with renovations and refurbishments. To mark our fifth anniversary, we would now like to launch another school project - this time in Benim, a small village near the city of Kumasi in Ghana.

There are three schools here with a total of almost 1,000 pupils aged between three and 15 - and none of these schools have sanitary facilities. The lack of access to a toilet is not only personally unpleasant and unhygienic, but also contributes to the spread of diseases. Incidentally, the United Nations has defined universal access to drinking water, access to sanitation and hygiene as human rights since 2010 (source: https://www.bmz.de/de/agenda-2030/sdg-6). 

We need €5,000 to finally ensure more hygienic conditions at the schools in Benim. Two of the schools are located next to each other, and a shared facility for 636 pupils is to be built here in the first phase. Once phase 1 is complete, a building with toilet cubicles and outdoor washbasins including a rainwater tank will also be built for the third school with 318 pupils. During our visit to Benim in October 2023, we have already visited the schools, held talks with the school management and determined possible locations. As always, our project partners in Ghana will implement the project and are our local contacts. We therefore hope to be able to start construction soon - what is still missing is your donation.
