In the Kwekwes project area in Zimbabwe, 31 percent of girls marry before the age of 18. The serious consequences of these child marriages include dropping out of school, early pregnancies, and a greater risk of domestic violence and poverty. With various measures, we aim to protect girls and young women from early marriage, for example, by enabling their access to education and the job market. We empower young people so they can exercise their rights and make independent decisions about their future.
