The climate crisis threatens us all. Only together with your support can we counter the ever-escalating climate crisis and its consequences. Help support initiatives like this one that are actively working for the future and the well-being of humanity.

Green-Up Gambia has been supporting various projects since 2016, see: https://www.greenupgambia.org/projects.

One of these projects is the Great Green Wall, an initiative that spans several African countries and aims to create a green wall of trees and vegetation to stop the spread of desertification and improve people's livelihoods. With a strong team of over 400 volunteers, more than 24,000 trees have already been planted and over 15 hectares of degraded land have been reforested. 

The Great Green Wall provides food and water security, habitat for wild plants and animals, and a reason for residents to stay in a region plagued by drought and poverty.

We, the Klima-Taskforce e.V. from Nürtingen, implement climate protection at local level. Our goal is to achieve climate neutrality in municipalities and to combat the climate crisis through fast, innovative and solution-oriented approaches. 

In line with our guiding principle "Think global, act local", we are tackling the climate transition locally in Germany while always keeping the global perspective in mind.  This motto is reflected in our cooperation with Green-Up Gambia.
