About this project
After two very successful Matching Challenges in the past years, the Deutschlandstipendium at TUM and its social student initiative Talente Spenden have joined forces to launch a new challenge, the Matching Challenge 2024.
Within 6 weeks - until March 11, 2024 - we have to collect at least 9,000 euros for new Deutschlandstipendium scholarships.
If we succeed, the Adolf Feizlmayr Stiftung and the WiCAM Stiftung will double every euro donated. There is an exciting innovation this year: The TUM Universitätsstiftung will double this already doubled amount once again. Following the principle of the Deutschlandstipendium, the federal government will double this amount once again, resulting in a total sum of at least 72,000 euros - enough for 20 more Deutschlandstipendium scholarships at TUM and eight times our donation target.
The challenge is a great opportunity to achieve maximum funding with little effort. So let's seize this opportunity together and show the co-donors how much solidarity there is in the Deutschlandstipendien network!
How successful has the Matching Challenge been in the past?
Both Matching 2023 and 2022 were complete successes. In the Matching Challenge 2022, we far exceeded the donation target of €9,000 and raised a total of €11,415! We were able to create 13 new scholarship places for the following funding period. 190 active and former scholarship holders took part.
When can I donate?
The Matching Challenge 2024 is open for a period of 6 weeks - it starts on the day of the ceremony, Monday, January 29, 2024 and ends on Monday, March 11, 2024, so your support is needed now!
What is the principle of the Deutschlandstipendium?
The Deutschlandstipendium is a scholarship program funded by the federal government.
Each scholarship holder receives 300 euros per month. Half of this amount is paid by a (private) sponsor and the other half by the federal government.
What happens if we lose the matching challenge?
If we do not reach the sum of 9,000 euros, the donations collected will of course still be doubled by the federal government. In this case, however, the contribution (i.e. the further doubling) of the co-donors will not apply.
Who can I contact if I have any questions about the Matching Challenge?
You can contact the Deutschlandstipendium team at TUM at deutschlandstipendium@tum.de and the project management of Talente Spenden e.V. at talente-spenden@cst.tum.de at any time.
