Due to the current political situation, migration routes are constantly changing.
Once again, the Greek islands have become a major arrival point for people fleeing to the EU.
Up to 30 individuals arrive daily in the Aegean islands seeking safety. The situation in the Aegean has drastically changed in recent years, with camp-like conditions, surrounded by barbed wire, lacking access to basic necessities like food, hygiene items, or medical care.
With no medical NGOs on the island of Kos, we're launching a mobile project. Over 2,000 refugees on Kos live in dire hygienic conditions without access to medical assistance. The nearest hospital is 15 kilometers away, often understaffed and lacking translation services for camp residents. We aim to ensure these individuals have access to medical care by establishing a mobile healthcare station with a small team of volunteer doctors and nurses. To make this project possible, we rely entirely on financial support. We estimate needing approximately € 5,000 monthly for medications, medical supplies, transportation, and other support services. Your assistance is vital in ensuring healthcare access for all!
