About this project

The US State Department's decision to terminate tens of thousands of USAID programmes and contracts as part of its review of humanitarian and development spending is already having a massive impact on International Rescue Committee (IRC) clients.
With the cuts to humanitarian aid, a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding: very acutely, 2 million people in crisis areas will no longer receive the help they need. Millions of children's lives are at risk.
Thousands of our IRC colleagues have already lost their jobs and all over the world we are being forced to stop our project work due to underfunding. But the most serious thing is that every day people have to fight for their survival because they no longer receive the help they need!
Support IRC in these uncertain times
Supporters like you are more important than ever at this time. You can support our work by raising awareness of the devastating circumstances among your friends and family. IRC is dependent on donations so that we can continue our emergency aid and project work and continue to support many thousands of people worldwide.
Please help us to continue our life-saving work during this uncertain time. Donate to IRC today or start a fundraising campaign together with your friends or colleagues.
International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a humanitarian aid organisation whose work spans the spectrum from emergency relief to integration and development cooperation. Albert Einstein called for the organisation to be founded in 1933. Since then, IRC has been providing life-saving aid, particularly to people fleeing war, persecution or natural disasters. IRC also supports the host societies and remains on site in the long term to rebuild essential structures.
In Germany, IRC promotes integration and participation with programmes to create learning spaces for children, strengthen the rights of women and girls, support refugees in their participation, provide protection and legal advice and support their entry into work and education.
