The association >kulturfabrik lehrter straße 35< e. V. as the non-profit socio-cultural center "Kulturfabrik Moabit", or "KuFa" for short, maintains the listed building at Lehrter Str. 35. in Berlin-Mitte (Moabit district). The premises are made available to other associations for their work at very low cost. The Kulturfabrik itself organizes several large socio-cultural events every year. The "KuFa-Café" is a bar with music, events, billiards and table soccer and is a popular social meeting place in the neighborhood, especially among young people.
The "KuFa" also has to contend with rising costs. Unfortunately, maintaining the building in particular is not getting any cheaper over time. Even if some funding can be acquired, a large proportion must always be financed from our own resources.
We want to maintain the KuFa and improve the program. We do not want to increase the admission and drinks prices or the cost allocations to the clubs "under our roof" so that the social character of the "KuFa" is maintained and the KuFa (together with "its" clubs) remains attractive for people with a "small purse".
We want to achieve this by ensuring that the following things - thanks to your donation - do not have to be financed by price increases:

- Maintaining and improving the equipment (e.g. repair and acquisition of furnishings and equipment of all kinds, including the creation of reserves for this purpose)
- Maintaining and improving the social and cultural events on offer (special-purpose operation: artists' fees, staff costs, external service providers, GEMA, event insurance, etc.)
- Repairs to all conceivable parts of the building and facilities (also building up reserves for this)
- (Pre-)financing of refurbishment and conversion measures (e.g. accessibility, fire protection, also own contribution to subsidies, etc.; also creation of reserves for this)
- Covering ancillary building costs (energy, water/waste water, waste disposal, insurance, etc.)
All these areas are equally important and necessary.
