Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome, is an inherited disorder that results in malformed blood vessels in multiple organs of the body and typically begins with nosebleeds in childhood. HHT can lead to serious health problems if not diagnosed and treated promptly. Our mission is to find a cure for HHT while saving lives and improving the well-being of individuals and families affected by HHT.
With its new website, the Osler Disease Foundation aims to:
1. promote scientific research into the development, progression, prevention, treatment and other aspects of Osler's disease,
2. promote the professional training of doctors and medical support staff on all aspects of Osler's disease,
3. educate the public about Osler's disease/HHT and the possibilities of prevention and treatment, and
4. promote initiatives to advise, educate and support sufferers and their families and to facilitate medical treatment.
We need your donation for the website of the Osler Disease Foundation. Help us to provide information about research projects and to promote promising new research projects.
