Swimming Fun: Free Classes for Children in Underserved Areas 🌊🏅

Hamburg – a city full of water, yet not every child can swim safely. 🌊 Help us teach children how to swim safely!

In a city like Hamburg, surrounded by rivers, canals, and lakes, learning to swim should be second nature – but for many children, it’s anything but that. Children from socially disadvantaged families or those with refugee backgrounds often have no opportunity to attend swimming classes. That’s why we offer free swimming courses in Hamburg-Bramfeld for children and teens who otherwise wouldn’t have access. With your support, we can give children not only the joy of being in the water but also an essential life-saving skill!

Our goal? Safe swimmers with the Bronze Badge! 🏅

Swimming looks so simple – just float, move, and go! But those first attempts are often much harder than they look. This is where we step in! In small groups with personal guidance, we help children and teens discover the fun of being in the water, overcome their fears, and learn to swim step by step. Our goal is for every child to first earn the Seepferdchen and then the Bronze Swimming Badge – a life-saving skill that will serve them forever!

More than 100 children are waiting for a chance to join our free swimming classes! To offer current and new participants a spot, we need around €4,000 annually to cover the lane rental costs. Every donation counts and helps us keep our swimming courses running, bringing the gift of safe swimming to more children.
