Alara Animal Rescue

Alara is a dedicated animal rescuer who cannot walk past a sick animal without helping. Despite facing her health challenges, she does everything possible to save as many animals as possible.

She cares for numerous cats and dogs in Istanbul and Isparta, Turkey with her mother and sister. In her home, she looks after 22 cats and one dog, while another 21 cats live in her garden. She is also taking care of a cat currently staying at a veterinary clinic, diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), as well as two blind cats in her house—one suffering from chronic bronchitis and herpes virus, the other from chronic sinusitis.

Alara and her family work tirelessly to save as many dogs as possible. In Turkey, dogs are especially vulnerable to abuse and killings. Since a new law was passed in August 2024, many municipal shelters have adopted a cruel euthanasia policy. At the moment, Alara is caring for several puppies suffering from scabies.

At just 25 years old, Alara is handling all of this on her own—but she urgently needs support. To cover the veterinary bills for the animals she rescues, she relies on donations.
