About this project

H. Lorenz from Quinoa Bildung gGmbH is responsible for this project
Since the founding of the Quinoa School, we have been able to break through difficult educational biographies and ensure significantly better starting opportunities. Today, almost 100% of our examinees graduate.  However, the school-leaving certificate as the end of the school career is only the beginning of a new worrying professional career. In our work, we make a clear statement: no qualification without connection, but we are also very concerned about the failure of standardised career orientation measures for this target group.
While just under 53% of young people without a migration background end up in dual training after leaving school, only 35% of young people with a migration background do so. As a result, our society is missing out on important future potential. Skills and talents lie idle because we do not promote them sufficiently and in a timely manner.
We want to change this. The learning workshop is intended to offer our students a variety of opportunities to go through different practical and creative learning processes. We want to offer young people workshops, e.g. in art, crafts, media and technology, which are didactically lively and activating and always have a practical relevance for the young people. Learning should be active and constructive, and the participating young people are the decisive actors in this.
Our goal is to bring young people into contact with manual and technical skills as early as possible, to develop their interest and to promote their talents. Even young people who find it difficult to follow "normal school lessons" should be able to learn and test knowledge from the NAWI area in practice.
Your donation helps to equip the learning workshop with tools, small machines and materials.
