Support with the immense veterinary and food costs for cats in the Nurember

Our founding in July 2020 as the animal welfare association "Katzenhilfe Nürnberger Land e.V." has a long history: Previously volunteering for many years in other animal welfare organizations, we wanted to promote the idea of animal welfare in the form of direct help to animals in need in our region. For this reason, we decided to found an association that works exclusively with foster homes.

Our focus areas are: 
- Care and castration of stray cats, 
- Placement of found and surrendered animals, sometimes also from friendly animal welfare organizations 
- as well as temporary placement in our foster homes.

We are exclusively self-financing. We have been able to absorb veterinary costs such as castrations, operations, vaccinations, deworming, chipping, etc. so far. Due to the increased veterinary costs, however, more and more private individuals can no longer care for their cats and therefore give them up or abandon them. This inevitably leads to an increase in inquiries regarding other animals in need of help. And we also have to pay the normal rates of the veterinarians.

In addition, we support feeding places for wild cats that are fed by private individuals within the scope of our possibilities.
